Disability Rights in Zimbabwe
Women and girls living with disabilities in Zimbabwe are marginalized and treated like second-class citizens - because of their disability and because of their gender. Deaf Women Included is a leader in challenging the stereotypes around what women and girls with disabilities can do, dream, and accomplish and in driving forward legislation that guarantees their equal rights throughout Zimbabwe.

In Zimbabwe (and globally) there are few systems in place that give girls access to critical and life saving information about their health, their bodies, their rights, and possibilities for their future.

Girls with disabilities are doctors, lawyers, politicians, artists, almost anything you can imagine. We are not limited by our abilities, we are limited by being made invisible in our homes, in our communities, in our country.
